Deborash uses recycled plate glass (window panes) in the torch and blowing organic "bubbles" or "baubles" (depending on who you ask!) to explore the vagaries in color, translucency and texture when this glass is melted and blown. As you can see, she has found that the color have no consistency, and vary depending onthe sheet of glass. What looks the same in a clear glass window pane, changes color in the heat of the torch. The colors range from clear, gold, green, turquoise, purple, etc. Sometimes, as the th glass is being blow, tiny air bubbles form in it. Other times, the glass has a clear translucency. For each piece of jewelry, Deborash has chosen other recycled glass beads or natural elements to compliment the colors brought out in th glass by the torch. Some of the baubles have been chemically etched, some have been sandblasted, and others have had coper electroform details added to them.
